What are the best Mercs to buy?

I just started DB and I have about 10=11k credits, what Mercs should I save up and buy? I prefer Engineer and Fire Support, but I’m open to anything

A merc price change is coming next week, and cost’s one thing to consider, but there’s not much to talk about that. (Most will be cheaper)

So:
Proxy’s easy to play, annoying to the enemy, pretty easy to counter - pls don’t buy her
Bush’s not hard, but he’s not that strong either (he will cost 30 000, so it’s a good purchase)
Fletcher is strong and really versatile, however it takes some practice to be effective with him
Turtle is pretty strong and not too hard (he will cost 50 000 however)

Arty is great overall, only drawback, you can’t use your ability indoors
Kira is has a similar kit to Arty’s but it’s harder to use, but is more fun, if you are effective
Stoker is useful indoors, but falls short in open spaces

Thunder has a metric sh*tton of HP and an easy to use ability
Fragger has a good HP pool too, but you have to ‘cook’ the grenade (it actually kills enemies though)
Nader can be used quite effectively with infinitesimal brain capacity
Rhino’s got even more HP than Thunder, but is easily countered by decent players

Sawbonez has the most HP amongst medics but has limited self heal. He is the best in single target out of combat healing
Phoenix has decent HP and really good self heal. He is best at healing back chip damage all around him
Sparks is the hardest to play, but is the most rewarding with sniping capabilities, and fastest long range revives.

I don’t recommend buying recons. They can be really effective and fun, but they are the most useless, when played badly.

sawbonez and bushwhacker are the ones i would always reccomend. The most boring, down to earth and effective in their class.

If you want to start with assaults , start with nader and buy fragger once you feel really comfortable with her.
Turtle is also a very efficient and versatile engieneer with good weaponry.

Fire Support - Arty for EV, Stoker for everything else. Kira is the most difficult due to her ability and low hp, but is fun to use.

Assault - Fragger, Nader, and Thunder are all powerful. Rhino is a niche character, but can be fun to run around with a shotgun on him.

Engineer - Proxy is objectively the worst engineer due to her low hp. Fletcher is the most OP atm since despite being an offensive merc with great killing ability, he has the same HP as Bushwhacker and Turtle, no downsides. Bushwhacker is arguably the most underpowered atm since his turret needs some QoL, but he has solid weaponry. Turtle is the only alternative to Fletcher atm imo if you need someone defensive, best overall weapons among the engineers.

Medic - Sawbonez, Phoenix, and Sparks all have their uses. I like Sawbonez due to his high HP, decent weapons, and heals. Phoenix is quicker healing and aoe. Sparks is the hardest to use due to low HP and her revive gun charge.

Recon - Redeye is arguably the best recon due to being able to be played aggressively in closer quarters than Vassili and AImee, he has two rifles the GSR and Dreiss that work great in closer quarters, his downside is that he cannot increase the damage he does (outside of headshots) or use automatic weaponry. Redeye makes effective usage of smoke (useful on offense or defense) and his spotting ability. Aimee has the lowest HP, but moves the fastest and can increase the damage she does with her snitch device. Vassili has automatic secondaries he can fall back on if cornered, best spotting ability. Phantom is a joke, but if you get him, ambush with headshots with your gun, not your katana.
