actually I dont like the portations so far.
Neither LB nor Waterloo work really fine for this game imo.
I’d like to see new stuff camden style with less objectives.

LB has indeed nothing on the original Goldrush. Then again, London is not some North African town and doesn’t really allow for that kind of intricate vertical geometry.

a refinery remake would be pretty awesome, with or without the mcp (EV)… loved that map, more so with out the mcp.

But like others have said, sewer/salvage remake <3!

Dear lord not railgun - the original EV in disguise…

that said it didnt feel as bad as the current maps. maybe because the whole map was being used throughout.

If we are looking for map re-makes. There are several I think that would work on DB and some I’d love but currently wouldn’t work on DB.

Ones i’d like that I think would work:

  • Frostbite
  • Reactor
  • Erdenberg

Ones I love that wouldn’t work :frowning:

  • Bremen
  • Venice

So why are we limited to London/UK only? I don’t understand this. When mapper tools comes out there will be sh!tload of randomly located maps anyway. North African or Middle Eastern maps would really fit into DB theme in my humble opinion (Arab - Israeli conflict?).

To give the game identity and stop it from being a generic shooter. The Middle East has been done to death. People have seen it. We’re done with the cellular concrete and pailing in the desert.

Uk’s fine for a destination. Most shooters in in 'murica or the middle east. Makes a refreshing change.

SD said once the London theme is just that start and will most likely branch out to other cities, my only problem with that is it will still be a city. ET:QW and ET had a nice variety of locations, I really do miss that.

You can add basically everything to the “generic shooter” term when talking about map locations. Urban maps has been done to death too but so what?

Until recently urban environments have been rather expensive to make. Especially ones that aren’t just American streetblocks, like…London. The amount of middle eastern towns greatly outnumbers the amount of modern urban environments.
