(stealth6) #2

are they the right size (a power of 2 ex: 2x2 / 512x256 / 256x256)
Are they the right type
.jpg
.tga

(nukits) #3

uh how do i change it ?

(kamikazee) #4

You can resize them using an image editor, e.g. the Gimp (free) or Photoshop (if you got spare cash).
Also, the sides must be powers of two but they don’t have to be the same, e.g. 128x256 would work too.

To change the type, save them to a different format with the image editor.

(nukits) #5

thankyou soo much its working !!

(nukits) #6

how do i fix it !!!

(isbowhten) #7

press S = surface inspector, just “play” alittle with the values and buttons in there :stuck_out_tongue:

(kamikazee) #8

Oh dear, that doesn’t look right. Try selecting the brush with the bad texture, press ‘S’ and then click “Natural”. If that doesn’t work, you could try to play with the “spinner buttons” next to the Horizonal and Vertical stretch fields.

(nukits) #9

it doesent work but if i press “S” the i cant see there natural :S

(th0rn3) #10

Press S and then click Cap a few times, or something like I cant remember

(nukits) #11

nothing :frowning:

(Qualmi) #12

one question to the stretching thing: could it be that you cant stretch all textures ? i can remember that i once had problems while stretching a .jpg file (256x256) with surface inspector ? anyone else had such a prob ?

edit: @nutkits: is it right that those textures are the same, but only different in size ? you can make them seamless with radiant. or am i blind oO

(nukits) #13

no the texture size is all the same , but that thing is doing somehow the texture size smaller (sry my english is not good)

(Qualmi) #14

try this to make it seamless:

select the texture on the right by holding at first ctrl + shift, and then left-click on the right texture.
still hold ctrl + shift and click with the middle-mousbutton on the left texture. (does not work with radiant 1.5)

try surfaceinspector or another graphicsprogramm to resize your texture.

(nukits) #15

nope its not working
:frowning: aah i dont know what to do

(Manwhore) #16

You could try this: Select one brush, press shift+B. Press Escape. Then click with the middle mouse button on that brush. Then click on the other brush with the middle mouse button. They should be the same now.

(-SSF-Sage) #17

Atleast in my 1.5.0. there’s only “set natural” for patches. For brushes there’s a button “axial” that should do the job. I checked also my 1.4.0 (dunno which version it is) and it had “axial” button aswell.

(nukits) #18

i ve got it thankyou all !
