Weird Texture Problem

(SmeTskE) #1

Hello guys,

I have a weird texture problem :???: :???:.
If I apply textures in Radiant, they look good, but ingame, they look 5 to 10 times SMALLER as in Radiant.
The CAULK texture (you can’t see it ingame) gives a Orange-Black texture (Texture not found)

Anybody has the same problem or if someone has a solution…

I just reinstalled ET, I went on with my map, I got this problem.

What to do??? :???: :???: :banghead:

I have that problem using Q3Map2toolz, but I find that if I compile just the first BSP -meta stage of hte map in GTKRadiant it doesn’t crash and I can use Q3Map2 for everything else without a problem.

i don’t really get it :frowning:
My radiant doesn’t crash either

i always have used the BSP -meta
this is how it looks in RADIANT:

And this is how it looks ingame

Tiny texture tiling like that is probably caused by the compiler being unable to find the images that the shaders are using (and probably not the shaders either), so it uses its internal default image size instead of the actual size of the image in the shader.

Check all the paths you are using are correct, and that you are specifying an fs_basepath, e.g. -fs_basepath “I:/ET_dev/” (where that folder is the folder in which your mapping copy of ET is installed).

It sounds like you’re using the menu to compile - I’d suggest searching the forums for a suitable batch file instead. Or writing one, if you’ve used DOS at all it’s not hard.

What did you change?
Did you change the path in project settings? (this doesn’t work for me :frowning: )
These are my settings:

  • basepath: F:\Wolfenstein - Enemy territory\etmain\
  • bsp_Q3Map2: (single) BSP -meta: -fs_basepath “F:\Wolfenstein - Enemy territory”

If i compile after i have changed the path i get an “couldn’t read bla.pcx” error, the pcx file is in the etmain folder.

I just compiled a small test room, and nothing’s wrong with that map.
