Hey guys, so I’m having a weird problem while playing. Sometimes when I move and then want to stop it just keeps on going. For instance I’m running forward then want to stop but he just keeps going forward. I don’t even know if this is a glitch or a problem with my keyboard. So I wanted to ask if anyone else has the same problem?
Weird problem with movement
I’m having a problem with the opposite, where I’m being stopped by invisible walls in places where there should be none…
That sounds like an issue with your keyboard/keyboard driver or software.
My old corsair k60 vengeance keyboard would have this issue where random keys would sometimes get stuck in a held down state, while I wasn’t using them.
My kb has no software but it could well have this problem. How do I figure out if it’s the keyboard? Is there a programm that could help me with this?
Llsjak I was having the same problem for a while. try finding lobbies form the sever menu and sorty by least ping. that will help some.
Never had that happen, sounds like a glitch with your keyboard or other interfering hardware (I think gamepads/joysticks are quite often the cultrip of that).
If it’s your keyboard, you should notice it if it starts spamming the input for one key, while you are trying to typeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee regularly, like that.
If it’s just something that keeps happening on Dirty Bomb, but nowhere else, then I can’t really say what the issue is.
Are there lag spikes or FPS drops when this happens, or something like that?
edit. also it could be caused by high ping (playing on servers from another region), like @L3thalGho5t said.
Thx for the input guys. @srswizard I type a lot on forums and such and never had a key repeat like that. You are right in that if it was the keyboard that would happen.
As for ping I always join EU servers but don’t really check the ping. I’ll try finding the lowest ping server and see what happens.
P.S. I really hope my kb is not the problem because it was an expensive mech kb and I’m pretty broke now

This happens for me when I am typing sometimes too. It’s pretty rare but it happens. I have to mash on the escape key to stop it. And the funny thing is my keyboard has no drivers or software…it’s just a firmware glitch with it.

It was driving me crazy, I had to get a new keyboard.
I have no such problems with this cm storm quickfire tk, luckily.
If it happened more than once a week and required more than me spazzing out hitting the escape key I’d have replaced mine long ago. Hell, I still think about replacing it pretty often because I really want a Ducky 10keyless
I actually think it’s the N-Key rollover tech the keyboard uses that is freaking out every once in a while and causing the issue.

A couple of times a week, I wouldn’t care, but for me it was sometimes multiple times a day.
I’ve heard that you can’t go wrong with Ducky keyboards, although they seem a bit overpriced, to me.
You could of course look up easy tutorials to take off your keys and look inside of em.

I have the ducky Shine 3 with brown switches. I love this thing. That’s why I don’t want it to be the problem. I’ll go and try a different game and see if it does the same. I’ll report back in a bit.
So I played a few rounds of CS:GO and I didn’t notice any unwanted movement. Seems there is some glitch in dirty bomb that’s causing this…
Well, I’m starting to run out of ideas.
I suppose there’s a small chance that something like the xingcode anticheat is somehow interfering with your keyboard’s software(?), but that’s just a wild guess, with nothing to back it up. Not likely.
I haven’t seen other people complain about this before, and I assume that there has to be a bunch of people playing DB with Ducky keyboards.
Do you have any kind of peripheral plugged in? Controller, flightstick, fightstick, steering wheel etc? If so, unplug them as that could be a source of unwanted input. I remember the first Batman game would spin around in circles on me until I figured out it was my flightstick that was plugged in and sitting under my desk that was causing it.
I used to have the same issue with a corsair keyboard. Turned out it was some driver incompatibility issue with my mobo. Got a new keyboard, v60 matias, and everything is fine.
@Amerika I don’t have any controllers or other peripehrals just mouse and kb. I have been playing for the past few hours and so far I havent had the problem reappear. Here’s hoping it somehow fixed itself
