So, i’ve been experiencing a weird ping issue since something like 2 months : sometimes when i’m start playing, the best servers I can find in my zone are about 80 ms ping, and this lasts sometime about 1 hour. And after several games, when starting a new game (without restarting DB), things come better and these same servers go back to a reasonable 40 ms ping.
Obviously, nothing else is running on my network (no download, no youtube/whatever, no internet TV…).
I’ve monitored my network traffic with a packet capture software, and nearly see nothing but DB packets (ok, DNS requests and so)
I’ve looked at the hours when this issue occur, but seems random.
I’ve made speed tests over Internet, and results are the same when DB ping is good and when DB ping is bad.
Don’t know if t’s a game issue, or if it’s something else… i’m stuck :o
Anyone with the same problems ?
EDIT: and obviously I tested other games during these “bad DB ping” periods, and never encountered such a problem
