I have no idea what the problem is, and I would really appreate the help.

(running 1.5. I know most people say use 1.4, but im stubborn)
Thank you

  1. the pic is pretty small.
  2. what is the actual problem?

(adamrichardson) #3

well. in the picture

the red brick on top is the wall.
you shouldnt be able to see the red brick through the ground, which you do. Ive completly changed those brushes many times and cannot find a reason why it it showing it. but aside from the view or the wall the row of brushes (basicly the 2 diagonal lines) is getting a complete view of the bottom wall, even though theres a layer of bunkers under it.

Looks like you just need to texture the missing surface.

(adamrichardson) #5

true however, the texture is there. on GTK Radient is IS there and a part of the map.

hm, what’s it look like in radiant 3d window?

you’re right, that’s weird. :o

hm, doubled identical brushes will cancel out what’s supposed to be. Like hitting space by accident. make sure your “underground” brushes aren’t z-fighting the upper brick wall also. That’s all I can think of atm, sry.

Update: Two rows were on top of eacher. I will test now to see weather or not its been fixed.

Update2: Double rowed looks like they were conflicting.

Note to anyone having this problem, its a double remove one lol

yeah i think you used 2 or more textures on the same spot

had the same prob, but you just got to delete the ‘too much’ textures 'till you only have one layer

most of the time it’s caused by ‘hollow’ and ‘substract’ , but that’s just a thought.

hmm i hope it’s a related comment,otherwise it’s kinda … dumb ^^
