Weird crash

Sometimes, my pc crashes and all red dots with red stripes appear on my screen. I can’t do anything about it. Someone know how to solve this? I’m more curius then it’s necessary, it happens once per 2/3 hours.+

jep i got the latest, and i got the oldest geforce 3, not a ti, 512 mb ram, p4 1700 mhz.

its probably a problem with ur operating system… who knows wut it may be… maybe get geforce fx :clap: ? its only $100 :smiley:

it can’t be my geforce, i can play 1600x1200 all high and lightning on and still get fps around 60/70

It’s a videocard or videocard driver problem. Sounds like your Geforce has kicked the bucket to me. Why not try the nVidia forums/customer service? This definitely isn’t an ET mapping problem.

Well, i only have it with the editor, and didn’t have the prob with wolfradiant.

OK, dont flame me on this, but ive seen MANY people with this problem, as well as myself. Its a heat issue. ET and RTCW make your CPU and vid card work overtime…guarantee if you leave the side door of your CPU unit open, it probably wont crash. It is, in a way, a Windows problem for it to be crashing, but it is a non-OS fix. Try it out, you have nothing to lose, right?? :chef:
