Weapon Damage

From the 2 hours I’ve played of this game so far, one things stand out to me. Weapons don’t seem to do much damage. Players have a decent amount of health and anything other than a sniper rifle takes a ton of bullets to put someone down. Headshots are helpful but not always ideal and in some of the matches I was playing yesterday, a couple of players found it beneficial to just run at people with their melee weapons while tanking bullets, AND IT WORKED!

I understand sniper rifles are supposed to be powerful but from what I’ve played, they have dominated ever match and none of the other weapons I used came close to their effectiveness.

with only limited merc availability counters are hard to see, but they’re there

Time to kill is really all over the place, but it feels right for me, headshots feel like they obliterate your health but it takes a full magazine, and thats with the current build not having Thunder and Rhino, or more HP heavy characters.

I found the TTK quite balanced in the rounds I played. I’ll be able to give a more informed opinion when I’ve played some more hint hint :wink:

I feel like the TTK to the body is fine but the TTK for headshots while using ARs, LMGs and SMGs should be decreased a bit.

Shotguns and snipers stronk.
All SMG’s a bit subpar (some, like from Aura, the one from Arty I prefer at the moment but sometimes snipers facetank me…)

3burst fire underpowered (body shots but may be an accuracy issue)

All in all, devs if you are reading this, just let us play more before we get into balancing BS

This is just something you will have to get used to. TTK has always been low in Splash Damage games compared to modern military (console) shooters, and this is quite appropriate for a fast paced PC shooter.

What it creates for the game though is that it requires teamwork and having people with you to really have the upper hand. More bullets more damage no? So it makes it ideal to have teammates near you to overcome other players, i find it the ideal way so teamwork still have a deep root in it. And dont talk about the ¨I killed this manny alone¨ thing, skill exists but im talking about equal fighters etc. :open_mouth:

The problem I’m having is with one on one fights. Everyone I go against seems to be able to deal more damage to me than I can to them. Idk if I’m just using the wrong weapons but it’s annoying as crap to know that if I’m in a one v one fight, I’ll probably lose.

Do other people have this issue or is it just me?

everyone has that issue when starting out, it’s because all the others are probably better at consistently hitting their shots

with the tiny player base DB has, probably around 30% of the players have been playing for 1 - 3 years

1-3 years? The game only came out on Early Access a lil while ago.

buy-in early access came out a while ago. Game has been tested since forever; and many people play since then.

The ttk is fine where it is, the game just needs to not chug after 10 mins

Considering you can get completly destroyed in under a second over a long range with about any smg or rifle when crouched and accuratly aimed i’d not say that the TTK is to low… definitly not
