Weapon Attachable Sights

So after long hours of looking at all these weapons with all of them having Picatinny/RIS rails (attachment rails)
at the top i couldnt stand the fact that you cant place ANYTHING on them (im guns hobbyst and love when there are rails on the weapon like tacticool so it bothers me so much when they are useless) and only one single weapon that isnt sniper rifle have sight on it (Blishlok)

So i came with idea: What about attachable sights?

As long as any other not-being-sight attachments could change weapons stats the sights only make it a bit easier to aim WHILE in DB aiming isnt the most important thing so it would be more like cosmetic thing.
Also there would be only non-optical sights available like RedDot (GreenDot from Blishlok), EOTech, Aimpoint colimators, Cobra sight etc. so weapons with sight wouldnt have advantage at longer distances than non-sighted ones.

The method of their in-game application is still undecided as they would go with Loadout Cards or would be buyable separately.

some people would run in and say “hurr optics give advantages to players!”
not having half of the weapon model in the screen is also advantage apparently…

it is.

so no. unless all weapons can use all sights, which basically would mean there is only one sight in the entire game.

Have them as an item. Let them be selected like trinkets, and only attached to weapons that allow them (sniper rifles and certain shotguns won’t be able to equip them)

I wouldn’t be opposed to this, but DB is a hitscan game and aiming down sights is rarely used. I usually prefer irons in every game because some optics obstruct part of your field of view both while aiming and moving around with your primary equipped. This is the reason why I pull out my secondary on every loadout with the cricket bat while running; I can’t stand having that bat waving around and blocking 30% of my vision on the right side of my screen. Don’t think this game should encourage more people to aim down sights in the first place.

and the game will turn into the pick kill camping fest
In my opinion it will really slow down the path of the game, the game is really made to go fast as possible so adding scope on almost every game would be a cancer for the meta
