i calculated playing matches and im ok-advanced and yet it will take me 57 hours to get 1 charatar and that is way to long
we should get more money in game
Would you care to share your math? I am a big fan of doing this kind of theory crafting and ingame income analysis. Would love to see your numbers.
So I did a thread recently titled ‘On the Credit Booster’ where I did some ingame testing during the double credit/XP weekend combined with a credit boost. I will use those numbers for the purposes of my response to this thread.
Roughly 42563 gained at the double credit rate WITHOUT the booster after 18 hours IN a game.
So that means 21281(roughly) per 18 ingame hours without double weekend AND without credit booster.
To buy a 50,000 credit merc it would take an estimated 42 in game hours not including missions. Missions are actually a big part of this. In my post I earned 12,000 from missions during that 18 in game hour period. If we deduct that 12,000 from the 50k merc cost and do the math for 38,000 credits instead we are down to 32 hours of in game time.
Now, that is with playing CONSTANTLY between mission refills. I know @Amerika has some numbers around here somewhere that deal with a VERY HEAVY mission focus…
FOUND IT!
I’ve been doing what Ardez said since the start of the mission system. Let’s put this into perspective. Kira and Rhino came out less than two weeks ago. Quite a few days after they came out I bought Kira for 50,000 credits. This brought me down to 40,000 credits as I had 90,000 at the time. So it’s been a week and a half at most since then and I am currently sitting at 110,000 credits. That means that in that time I, fairly easily, made 70,000 credits by playing the same amount of time I would normally put into the game but I, like Ardez, broke it up into time frames when I could get missions done.
I have probably 25 hours into DB during that time (about 2.5 hours a day). That means I was able to make about 2800 credits per hour of play time which sounds about right to me in how I made sure to do missions efficiently, made sure to do the “1st match” dailies and then normal credits during play of those matches.
So you do have to put in some time to get what you want but it’s not unreasonable if you do things right.
So yeah. I would love to see your details.
but still the 3 hour wait and all that its almost immpossible without being a pro to get money and charatars without unneeded extra time
allow me to do the math from what i got today in 2hour i managed to squeeze in 6 full games of objective and i was sucking due to trolling with sparks and sht
a full round of objective of defense which is about plus minus 20mins due to waiting i got anywhere from 170-350CR… so effectively taking the minimum in just over an hour i would get 170x3 which is 510CR
a new bronze card
17500/ 510 = 34.314hours rounding off to 35hours… So theoritically it would take 35hours in play discounting the first wins and the rotation mission system…
however taking into account i wont be playing 3 rounds in 60mins due to some issues such as joining a game halfway, having to wait for games to start, waiting in game for the round to load, factoring in warm up time, factoring in looking for servers, factoring in opening of cases, factoring in possible crafting time and of course the ever so prevalent afking to take a leak/grab a drink/ feed your pet/ alien invading your house and kidnapping your children etc etcm the CR to 1hr play time would be modified from 510CR minimum to 382.5CR after discounting missions (some poeple cant time the rotations to complete 2 cycles while basement zombies could possibly complete 5 of these daily so lets not factor rotation missions in) and without factoring in first wins
the new formula would be 17500/382.5 = 45.75 (rounding it off to 46hours)
so lets factor in daily play time for the average unmarried full time working adult which would get to play 2 hours a day and ur weekends are spent on other stuff other than video games 46/2 = 23days working days
now for a new merc
50000/382.5 = 130.71 (rounding it off to 131hours)
so lets factor in daily play time for the average unmarried full time working adult which would get to play 2 hours a day and ur weekends are spent on other stuff other than video games 131/2 = 50days working days
However we have to remember that the above mentioned hours DO NOT INCLUDE first wins and missions on rotations.
So now lets factor in the first wins of the day and assuming u have bad RNG and u get 500CR missions every time u will get 1500CR from missions and 1000CR from first wins now of
so taking these into account
a new bronze loadout card in days (2hrs of play time a day)
17500/(2500 + 382.5x2) = 5.4days rounding it off to 6days
6days x2 hours = 12hours of gameplay
a new merc (2hours of play time)
50000/(2500 + 382.5x2) = 15.32 days rounding it off to 16days
16days x 2hours = 32 hours of gameplay…
Conclusion a new bronze loadout based off what i got would mean 12hours of gameplay while a new merc would be 32hours of gameplay however this would heavily depend on time spent in a round and performance (from what i have heard on how CR is calculated)…
DISCLAIMER: this is a 1 sample size calculation and this may not reflect the actual time taken for you/your friend/your pet animal/whatever planet or galaxy you are from if u arent from earth to get either a bronze loadout or a new merc
Performance, unfortunately, doesn’t count for much in the final reward. Base fee is 80-90% of the credits you will earn in a match.
And your numbers seem fair @reliableTortoise based on your math and base numbers.
I feel like the credit gain is in a good place as far as a F2P game goes.
well if i could mabe get a sample size of possibly mabe a 250 or 500 the numbers could be more accurate since this is only a 1 sample size calculation so these numbers are pretty unreliable…
my calculation:
lets say you play 3 hours a day and do only 1 set of missions
500 credits each 30min match -> 3000 in 3 hours
750 credits each mission -> 2250 in 3 hours
1000 credits for first win and 1 gamemode
6250 credits a day
8 days to unlock a 50k merc (24hours)
if you play less it’s even less hours, but more days.
if you play more, you need more hours but less days.
