We need more crosshairs!

Seriously, is it so hard to add more than two crosshairs to the game? I don’t remember playing FPS game with only two available crosshairs. This is annyoing. I know people use mumble but I don’t want to install and use a third party software for basic things. I would appreciate more crosshairs ASAP. In case you forgot, this is Enemy Territory (released 2003) developed by Splash Damage, and it’s crosshair options:

Looks cool, doesn’t it? I wish we could get the same in game developed more than 10 years later.

Well there is always Mumble. However I would love to have cross hair options natively in the game. Also an option to rearrange the HUD in game would be cool too.

I like the default crosshairs as it shows spread, but I’m a bit weird (caps. is my sprint key) and DB is my first FPS so maybe I’ve not got enough experience to understand fully however, more choice is always nice and I definitely wouldn’t download a third party software to do it.

I use the default crosshair that shows the spread. I also use CAPS to sprint. This is most definitely not my first FPS

So, IMO, you’re doing it right! Now if only you were also using ESDF to move we might be twins. Using WASD will never make sense to me.

Back on topic though…yup. This has been requested for a long time. I’m not sure if it’s difficult to create crosshairs with DB’s UI or if it’s just something SD has never prioritized. I don’t recall it ever being specifically answered. It would be nice to get more options for people to use as it’s easily the most often looked at UI piece.

Well there is always Mumble.

Like I said, I don’t want mumble, I want game to offer me such basic thing as different crosshairs

That’s why I hope to get shoe or Raziel here and give us an answer

Btw - I used dot inside circle in ET and I use dot now in DB. The only problem is that there’s spread in DB - in ET every bullet fired with smg hit exactly where I was aiming

Oh, apologies, I have not read your thread properly. I thought you did not mention mumble.

(Jostabeere) #7

I want the default one being shorter. Then I’m happy.

Yeah, it would be cool to adjust it’s size like you adjust it’s colours. I hope we will get that too, not only different-looking crosshair.

(LifeupOmega) #9

I just wish the default crosshairs had a stroke effect to them. I can’t see a single colour crosshair :frowning:

(ElDingDong) #10

make it pink, it does the trick for me

(Xenithos) #11

I simply want it so that I can see spread, etc, except, no dot in the center. However, every crosshair offered is either dot limited, or no dot at all… :worried:
