People do it in competitive too. It shouldn’t be this way in casual OR comp.

Picklimit it for your Team if you are premade, by talking. There is no need to do that.
People would be cut down if they prefer something. Also you can block other Players. If you are pretty - let’s call it bad - and there is just 1 sniperslot and you block the good 1, - wth? Or better - take a medic who is AFK and blocks a spot the whole 3 minutes or jumps around to be AFK the whole match. That would be horrible!

How exactly are you doing to have pick limits when new players have 5 mercs available to choose from? For that matter, even experienced players could end up picking the same mercs for their squad.
