As said in the title, there is way too much airstrikes. Moreover all maps have 1/2 or 3 narrow ways possible, making airstrikes quite impossible to avoid and this allow a team to pin down the enemy easily. So if you could make a max airstrike number per team it would be perfect i think. Thanks for reading and your stunning work on this game guys! a lot! have a nice day
Way too much Airstrikes
If your problem with airstrikes are in tight areas, then I would avoid those areas.
Anyways, you can see the airstrike marker on the ground, and there is a red line coming from it that shows which direction the bombs are coming in from. Because the airstrike takes about 3-5 seconds to come in, you have quite a bit of time to run perpendicular to the red line or indoors. And as always, you will know them better with experience.

As you play, you get used to them really fast. I’m pretty sure all of us got pissed at air strikes when we first started. Now they’re a joke, a joke that is really good at destroying EVs. They can still get you if the Skyhammer is super sneak beaky, but as you play you start to avoid em.
Indeed, airstrikes rarely kill players in competitive unless hidden and timed excellent. Most just trash the EV without having any thought if enemies are there.
Yup of course, but i was used to Splash damage’s old game Wolfenstein ET, where airstrikes were marked with smoke, clearly visible, here u can be killed without seeing airstrike marker if this one is hidden by a wall next to u or something
I think the timer on the Airstrike cooldown could be increased a bit, even by 5 seconds I think would help lesson the Airstrike spam.
It takes some getting used to, but airstrikes aren’t too bad. I usually see the planes flying overhead and I can seek cover immediately. Then again, I’m not sure how many people are busy looking at the sky lol.
If I am not mistaken the airstrike cooldown in wolfET was global for the team. This worked a lot better than now with airstrikes and lasers everywhere-- pew pew
The airstrike is actually quite balanced, the problem is the merc limit.
Numerous times have I played a match, where 5 seconds after repairing an EV, four airstrikes land directly on top, instantly destroying it. It’s the “Skyhammer squad”, and it’s too damn frequent on pubs. I wish merc limit was introduced.
As said previously, a global team countdown for airstrikes would be awesome, and may stop those “EV repaired”/“EV disabled” everytime
