I have problem with water :S.
I add a brush and add water texture but in-game i can walk on the water??

Water problem
i haven’t downloaded your map but i would be willing to guess that your water texture does not have a shader that makes your brush actually act like water
You can make water with 2 possible ways
Water texture must have shader When water texture is in white square ( in Radiant ), it is with shader and If you click on texture ( in Radiant ) shift + left click , shader file pop up
2 ways of make water
1 - use from common - texture nodraw water and on the up apply your water texture
2- use only your water texture

For the water:
Whatever you want your water to be, select it, (
Shift + Left Mouse Button)
Apply the nodraw_water texture in textures/common
Then, deselect it (ESC?) and select the face (Ctrl+Shift+Left Mouse button) you want to see as water (Normally the top one, unless you want the water going up a wall or something
)
Apply whatever texture you want to that one, as this is the texture you will see.

I thought you had already made your water, but yeah, make a new one or use a old one, doesn’t really matter

Can anyone tell me why cant i see water under it???
use texture from common - nodraw water ( water effect under water )
and on the up aply your water texture.
i saw some mappers ( 2BIT and his map Luddendorf ) he is using under water also fog and it looks very realistics.
I know that i put the texture up…I can see the water when i look at it outside.But when i look up in water i cant see it.

the water texture shader must have those syntax :
Surfaceparm Water
Surfaceparm trans
Just use an existing water shader as a base for your own. Then you should have all the parameters you need.
Well,i make a brush,put the water texture on it (in common)and then i select the upper face and then i choose the texture to the upper face…and what then??
Idd, not all textures in Liquids or Liquids_sd have correct shaders (or any shader at all)
I believe you can see if a texture has a shader when there is a white line around it in the texture viewer, right?
But even then you would have to look this shader up or just try it to see if it works properly.
can someone send a prefab of the water so it will work and look like in Seawall battery?? I cant get it working… please some one could make it and place it here? Thanks!
