If anyone hasn’t seen this yet ^

(Serious Sam) #3

Anyone know if the keys are all gone yet?

(Ghosthree3) #4

No idea but I someone posted that there were 100,000 of them to be given away. No idea if it was true or not.

(Serious Sam) #5

I received a code very recently; they’re still there for those who want them.

(MissMurder) #6

Thanks! That’s good to know.

(Noble_One) #7

i got my key

(misspo) #8

Few days later my friend and i got one instantly
I think that you can have them easly because they are 100k and it’s hard to use proxy to get more. i tried to give to some friend and all proxy i tried buged.

Well crap.

I paid cash for Fragger last week (let alone bought all the Mercs before I realized there were starter packs, and I even bought those to show my support)

I guess a fool and his money really are soon parted.

(MissMurder) #10

@Gwarh thank you for your support! And don’t be so hard on yourself- promotions and giveaways happen

(Lumi) #11

Yeay! I managed to get mine! Sharing it with friends as I’m writing this!

(zvercheto222) #12

Could somebody please tell where can i redeem the code ?

(immenseWalnut) #13

It tells you in the email, bottom left hand corner of Steam, it says ‘+ Add a game’. Click on that then select activate a product on Steam, then enter your key.

There are still some left by the way, so glad I spent my credits on Nader instead the other week.

(Daergar) #14

I’m starting to realize I shouldn’t have spent money on mercs. That’s not the ideal feeling you want to bring out in your supporting playerbase… maybe I am an exception, shrug.

(immenseWalnut) #15

Yeah, it is pretty annoying, I was tempted to buy the starting pack but ultimately decided not to (keeping the total amount I have spent on the game at £0) because I already have Vassili and Sawbonez (and now I have Fragger).

If credit refunds were granted it would be far more tempting, but as it stands I will have to wait for additional bundles to become available before I am willing to spend any money (and even then, it will depend on every single merc in the bundle being ones I don’t have). I refuse to pay £7 for a single merc, the pricing is ludicrous, especially in the face of the Steam summer sale where I have been buying dozens of full games for under £4.

(Lumi) #16

In the end people who pay real money for mercs are either supporting the game developpers and shouldn’t feel bad when a promotion then gives that merc out for free, as doing so is basically saying that they weren’t supporting in the first case.

Or they’re trying to bypass the free process of aquiring mercs, in which case they “feel betrayed” but shouldn’t as it is kinda like using a cheat code (like in older times, to unlock levels, etc.) and they got something before they should be able to get it.

In my opinion, I think the ingame cash gathering process to then unlock mercs is simply rewarding. It’s well balanced. It’s challenging enough to make you feel rewarded when unlocking a new merc and not hard enough to make you feel like it’s an infinite grind. Therefore I would never rob myself of the challenge although I’m still thinking of supporting the game and spend some cash. That’s why there are cases XD.

Just seeing the trailer makes me want Phantom more. Any idea when its going to be “announced” for OBT?

(DMaster2) #18

Thank you for Fragger, i’m happy i picked Rhino over it (now i have both xd). I’m looking forward Phantom in a future patch, stealth look so badass.

(Mccoolenstein) #19

Yay! Been loving Sparks as a support/humorous sniper counter, but I’ve missed Fragger since he dropped out of the rotation XD

(Mr-Penguin) #20

I already got mine, but thanks for bringing it up again!
