Was the damage falloff nerf to Sparks' revivr justified?

Just that makes you lose all credibility. I think pretty much anyone is agreeing that Sparks was one of the merc that actually needed training. Rhino is low skill Nader is low skill, when you say Sparks is low skill well you effectively sounds like a hater who just couldnt fight them correctly.
And half what you were saying is wrong now, wause she cant even revive at distance now she needs to come out. I hope you are happy guys you made this game a little more boring and created a Phantom 2.0 amongst medic.

This means that now, instead of the 5% of players would could actually kill you with sparks, now only 1% can do it consistently, maybe less. This idea that Sparks was OP is so biased. I’ve seen countless of friends try her out and stop playing after a few matches because they were getting destroyed.

What happened here is poor balancing. Balancing should be on skill input to reward ratio only. What we end up with is a high skill input with low reward as always, because high reward mercs, even if requiring high skill just frustrate newcomers… So why bother with those high skill ceiling mercs if the low skill ceiling will get things done better? It just doesn’t reward good players. And guess what: players that are experienced with dirty bomb are long time players who are susceptible to spend money on the game. Newcomers just come and go…

look, I don’t approve of this nerf either, I said she had a low skill low risk and yet high reward, stop editing stuff out and expecting me to think that’s called outsmarting. But yes this nerf was not deserving, she needs the power to revive at range to be good and something like this I do not approve of and it should be reverted.

To be fair, she is still extremely rewarding at the skill ceiling. If you land that first full charge headshot, her nerfs don’t have much effect. At that skill level, she probably was/is legitimately broken.

The problem is that sd never tried to address the broken part of sparks. Her headshots were broken on the best players, so they crippled her for everyone else without touching those headshots. She needs a rework, not a nerf.

That works for everymerc a skilled proxy is completely broken a skilled fragger is too a decent nader was completely broken i didnt tried after the nerf, a decent rhino too is completely broken that works for every single merc except maybe phantom and thunder

Dude i literally copy pasted the part of your comment

no long-range super-revives on chapel? What’s the fun in that? Playing against her wasn’t a real issue: revival-over-distance nerf means she’s worse at the ONE thing she’s meant to do. Sad day.
