Is there anything I can do about the warping in game? It really gets on my nerves. No it’s not my connection, this started a day or two ago after the update.

since update it happens more often, feels like every other game i get it,and it makes the game almost unplayable
Guys, this is all cryptic as hell. I’ve been eyeballing the topic a few times but couldn’t be bothered to reply.
What are you talking about? Are you warping? Are enemies warping?: Is it happening 100% of the time? What are the pings like?
The only issues about warping that I’m aware of:
- High ping/packetloss, either by you or an enemy. This game doesn’t seem to have any form of lag smoothing, so that causes them to teleport.
- The client shows a different position than the server. For example, you barely fell off a ledge, think you dropped down. Then you get killed and your corpse is still on that ledge.
- Enemies (or you) running with a really bad framerate. This, to a player with a normal performance, looks like you are teleporting.
Or are you just talking about a bad framerate, like the game turns into a slideshow? If so, post your system details!

This game doesn’t have a “stable” FPS unless your computer is able to perform a lot better, but you chose to cap the framerate to a limit, which requires tinkering with config files.
If you’re at 50 FPS, then you will stutter as new parts of the map are rendered, or when there are complex scenes with particles/players.
If that really isn’t the case (but I can’t trust your system on that), then it’s other players whose computers are performing like shite and in return, actually look laggy to fellow players.
An anti-lag system is desperately needed, because nothing pisses me off more than opening fire (revealing my position and costing accuracy/bullets) on an Aura or Sparks that then proceeds to travel across dimensions across the map.
It’s like the developers of Overwatch played Dirty Bomb and decided to create Tracer to make that teleportation a ‘feature’.
Happens to me too since this morning… Every 4 - 5 seconds i warp 2 meters forward.
Btw my ping is a little bit highter than usually : my ping increased to 75 from 54 on EU servers.
Yeah, I’ve no idea what causes it. I play with over 300 fps for majority of time too (or 200ish if i change thread desynch). And fairly often, it’ll just freeze entirely on my end and then drop to 1 FPS for 1.5 sec or so; but you carry on running forward ingame, just desynch so you bascially warp to a new position when it eventually becomes playable again. It happens about once every 5 mins, but it’s so annoying when it does, especially if you’re in a fight!
I’ve tried quite a few fix attempts - changing settings in config, disabling HUD, changing HUD entirely, disabling minimap, custom crosshair via mumble, fps configs (even though my fps is not an issue), changing every single setting in advanced video menu 1 by 1 to see if it was the cause.
It has same symptoms as overheating basically (it’s not overheating). Also, I’ve monitored when it happens, cpu usage doesn’t spike up, it just seems to be some sort of server desynch. I should also mention my internet is fine, I get between 10-30 ping at all times on EU servers.
It’s made me close to quitting quite a few times already, it’s so irritating!
Specs: i7 4790k 4ghz (overclocked to 4.4ghz), Radeon R9 390, 16GB DDR3 RAM
