Warning: no valid command map layer for z

how to solve this?
i have a layered command map (3 stages)

(aaa3) #2

he meant this (see attached pic), some 10-20 times got spammed in every second, completely filling the console. whats this? its strange one time it disappeared and console got back to normal…

Just a guess: could there be some height zone whih has no command map? If you at one point were at a given height, the game tries to load the command map but it can’t. Move to a lower/heigher point and suddenly the game may switch to another command map which it does load, causing the error to disappear.

With other words, check the settings again.

the cclayerceil’s value ie representing the ceiling of the part of that map that special CM is shown…
is cclayerceil0 the highest or lowest level??
however the CMs do work… no idea. layered CMs arent well explained.
so i try to put the value orf cclayercel 2 in cclayercel 0 and the opposite way round…

(isbowhten) #5

did not help…
on my friends host the ambient coloe (red) makes the moon red and the warnings occurre.
on localhost NO warnings and moon is white…
so it may be caused by the server options?
any idea?

EDIT: i figured out that WITHOUT a mod it wokrs fine…
WHY ???

EDIT2: no warnings as a spectator…
but WARNIGS EVEN WITHOUT COMMANDMAP

EDIT3: WITHOUT the script file it works???
i did NOT use corrupt accum indexes 7 ,8 and 9 …

(isbowhten) #6

what i found out is…
the script is responsible for the errors…

4 lines
setstate a-TOI to-a-state are in my script…
ONLY THOSE 4 lines are setting a state to a TOI …
so i thought … perhaps layered command maps do not knwo the z-coordinate of the TOI…
( the x/y are automatically known …)
i added origin keys to all TOIS (even those who arent meant by the 4 lines) AND also added origin keys to the targeted constructions AND their func_brushmodels…
it did NOT help :frowning:

EDIT:
instead of setting the state i moved the TOIs with setposition…
now there are short times without warnings and a little bit longer times WITH warnings … they take turns
