So, ALOT of closed beta players I talked to say the same thing that I said. I was working on the day that, they were giving the limited edition closed beta swag, now I get nothing. I know closed beta is done, but can’t the closed beta ALL players get something? I find it unfair that unless I am 5, and my mommy let’s me play on the certain times, that I get nothing. Also, here is a meme.
Warning, closed beta Q_Qing
I was in closed beta too…
Can we at least get a free elite case or something?
I’m happy I have the experience to know more about maps and characters than open beta players that got on without any forethought about installing, that’s enough for me imho…
Contrary to popular belief, QQ is not a set of crying eyes. It actually originated with the advent of Warcraft II. On battlenet, you could press ALT+Q+Q to immediately exit the match and program. Thus the term “QQ” was to tell people to just quit because they are unskilled. The term later developed and lost it’s origin and is usually mistaken as crying eyes.
The prize was given out when they were doing a server stress test prior to going into continuous open beta. It was for an event, not for being a beta tester. They gave out a lot of keys for that event.
Even so, if you gave a prize to every beta tester it would just become a bit of a joke. So many people got in from the Alienware giveaway(and similar ones) right before Open Beta started.
Closed beta? No big deal. Got some Arty Obsidian card.
Alpha Founders pack? Hoowee, I am jealous. Orange masks for the win.
Obsidian cards are not superior to regular ones in any way. Another purely cosmetical feature, kudos to SD for that.
I have 2 Proxys with exactly same loadouts, one is bronze, second is obsidian.
Founders cards have rather neat visual customizations, but they are also purely cosmetical and ppl who invested into game early on deserve those. And they should stay limited edition as they are, i hope that SD wont go the same road as pretty much all developers/publishers do, by releasing originally unique content into general population, for those who are willing to pay.
If there was a way to do it, I would gladly give away my Obsidian “Beta Fighter” Fragger w/ the BR-16. Worthless.
