Warframe F2P

Anyone seen this? Looks pretty good. If anyone’s played it a while, how’s their F2P system?

I’ve been playing the game since it was released on steam. It’s only a coop game, so there’s a lot more possibilities in terms of content. As far as the F2P system goes, you have good access to unlock almost all the base content without ever needing to drop a dime. Paying will get you some things instantly of course, but you can unlock everything for free over time from earning credits and leveling up. Not really comparable in terms of game play or balance there, but it seems to be doing the f2p part right.

Word. Thanks for the info. I’ll probably try it out once my hand is fully healed. 1-2 more weeks.

I was in the alpha testing and the closed beta tests - It is some fun Mass Effect (but more action feeling) style Co-oP grind for loots and XP. I didn’t play as much as… it just didn’t hook me. Although the different styles of Warframes and abilities are rad.

WARFACE on the other hand; Crytek did a damn good job with both the co-op and the Competitive, in the closed beta for that as well; not sure if its open yet or released - haven’t jumped in for about 2 months +

Warface was so slow I had to quit playing.

its like diablo, you get tired really fast, its so repetitive, but on the other hand its quite fun not always playing alone^^ When they extend the game for some variety, it would be sweet.

looks interesting, doesnt take 30 bullets to kill someone and the player models remind me of MDK lol

I really like damage numbers. Since the damage in DB might be so unconventional for some FPS players, I think it would help justify the game feel if damage numbers were shown.
But then we should get rid of enemy health bars and names to reduce clutter of the HUD. Which I’m all for.
I think damage numbers are better than health bars, because with damage numbers you don’t know before hand what the health is. And the health bars are currently very annoying, even if you wanted to use them to see how much damage you did to the enemy, because it’s somehow delayed. It is a real issue, because I can imagine new players get frustrated when the health bar doesn’t seem to register the damage you’ve done. Or perhaps it isn’t delayed, but since its a bar the eye doesn’t see it clearly unless it looks directly at it. Damage numbers are much ore recognizable on the screen while you hold your eyes on the crosshair.
Clear and instant damage numbers tell exactly what you need to know, without giving you the ability to pick the weakest link.

Hell I turn Damage Numbers on in Bioshock Infinite; Single Player only but I want that floating damage text.

How does this video help to improve DB?

Dont have the guts to face Dirty Bomb as a game.

Buts its a nice F2P example.

I was asking about their F2P system. It’s not like Warframe will compete with DB. Two different games.
