Warface release reactions

Just browsed some steam user comments to Warface - pretty entertaining read. Moans and whines about pay to win, unfinished game, game trying to be all and failing, etc. Where have I already heard that?

Anyways:

Haven’t tried it myself yet tho (busy playing Payday 2).

It didn’t look appealing from the get go.

Besides, I’m way too busy bouncing around in circles now Epic is going to release a completely free UT4.

Think CoD but smaller maps, teams spawn at each end just shooting back and forth at each other, weapons unlocks are temporary so need to re-unlock or pay for longer… it wasn’t very good.

Warface has been out for a while and it is pretty bad. There is very little redeeming about that game.

Its release on steam hasn’t suddenly made it better or worse. The game has been out for like a year iirc.

The only mode worth playing is demolition. If you’re judging it on TDM, it is irredeemably bad. If you judge it on demolition, it has some good points but generally outweighed by the bad points.

Just a short list:
awkward map design
overpowered sniper rifles
bad netcode
bad performance
awkward unlock system
no stand alone client (afaik still hasn’t been implemented)

Crytek is going bankrupt. Part of this is because of their F2P games failing to be succesful.

Thanks for that wonderful insight. Next up on ‘Stating The Obvious’, the sun is hot!

It just feels like every other cheap f2p shooter made for asian market which means… its bad.

You know what would save Crytek… a new TimeSplitters but that would be too sensible.

This game was actually released? :o I remember playing some alpha/beta a while back and I uninstalled in less than 10 minutes. It was really crappy.
