Warehouse make it CTF!

So i was looking at the 2 new map (Warehouse and Dockyard) and i loved them.

Dockyard seems like Dome, a lot of jumps (i love jumps), and some great line of sight.

But when i looked at Warehouse, i feel like it shouldn’t be an Exec map but a CTF one. Because a new game mode is always cool, the map is symetrical and is fair for both side and i’d like to see a great battle in the middle with light jumping around with flag.

Maybe it’s not your plan with this map but i feel like Warehouse could be a good CTF map.

where did u see the new maps?

Overall Execution maps are somewhat mirror-able, so I wouldn’t mind seeing them tested in the future as CTF type of settings  But if this Warehouse (only heard, haven’t seen vidyafootage nor can be bothered to check in-game) is indeed already symmetrical, I’d test the heck out of even less-than-polished CTF tryout. After all, delivering / grapping “flag” is already in the code in a form of drug/emp sample delivery, so this kinda thing could be started up rather easily I think. Obviously full-on new mode would require more thought-process

IMO the warehouse map really feels like a KOTH map. Look at how symmetrical it is giving each team an equal chance at keeping the hill. The game mode itself I think would be great at incorporating all types mercs into the game. Although I will agree that if it is a CTF I would enjoy it just as much.

I have to be honest KOTH would be pretty darn hard mode to be done right in DB, due to sheer amount of explosives and area denial / air support abilities around. Point would be a massive butchering galore of flying limbs and bodily discharges.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy KOTH a lot, used to prefer it over everything else in TF2 and I got +3 000 hours in that title. I’m just saying it might be tougher nut to crack than making balanced CTF.

DB does have coding necessary for both modes though (data core mechanics for CTF, forward spawn in Terminal for KOTH-like implementation)
