Walking on a model import.

(Popcorn) #1

Hi,

I have modeled my terrain (3D Studio Max V8) for a new map and I imported it into Radiant 1.5.0 successfully.

I can see it in game, but the only problem is that I can walk through it. The terrain is fairly complex so I’m not sure what I would have to do to make it “solid”.

Regards,
-Matt

models are made non-solid, to make them solid make some clip brushes

Thanks.

Loads of clipping for me. :stuck_out_tongue:

A little tip: make it a misc_model, otherwise your model will disappear when you turn away from the model’s origin.

that way, it will also allow portalling.

Thank You kamikazee.

Ps. Does anyone know the poly limit on imported models?

I believe it’s 1024 on one object, but there can be more objects in one model so if there are more then 1024 polys on one object you can simply split this object up into several objects. There’s probably a limit for the total amount but I don’t know how much that is.
