I can’t even imagine a scenario where i went into a game, I had two out of however many characters available, and bought something randomized between the characters. There would at least be a moment of thought like, “hmm, I wonder if it’s gonna give me something between the characters I own or all possible characters”. If you buy you buy sour candy, you can’t complain it’s sour[/quote]

I can’t even imagine a scenario where I wanted to support the devs and spend money and got absolutely nothing for it. Oh wait, that’s this thread.

All those popular games that use RNG give you something you can immediately use. Dirty bomb is the exception and believe me, it’s not an exceptional system.

You can without being a dum dum, by buying the mers instead

DB’s monetization definitely has some noob traps. If you do your research, it is actually pretty reasonable (you can play without spending money at all, and you can direct buy any gameplay related item relatively easily). That said, cases are terrible unless you want to throw money away, and credit boosts are worse. It isn’t a great system, but it is a system that you can work around if you know what you are doing. Overall, it could be a lot worse (and yes, that is the best thing I can say about it).

Money is for mercs.
