I believe it happens sometimes where it just shows up like that. Probably do to your ping spiking or a server issue. I’ve never noticed any U.S. East servers with that high of a ping for me (U.S. East player here). Just checked as well and didn’t see any like that.

Regardless its due to the way networks are routed. (and not necessarily because of bad server performance)
Network paths don’t just go from point A to point B, its more like going from point A to point M with a bunch of other stops along the way. Sometimes those stops aren’t the most efficient to where you want to go.
Similar to bus routes, where the bus may take several stops, and sometimes go completely the wrong direction before ultimately getting you to where you actually want to go. The route may be efficient for somethings, but not for others.

Some servers just had bad routing for you.
I ping about 220ms generally speaking to US east, but there are a handful where I ping 290-300ms for whatever reason.
Then EU I ping about 330ms on average, but there are a few where I only ping 280ms.
So I ping lower to some EU servers than I do US East from the other side of the world.
