W.I:P Operation Lucky

well this is what ive been working on now for a while…
in what seems like ages(almost 3 months)

currnet version is alpha 1 since there still is work to do on the map

mostly fixing some textures and scriptbugs.and doing the commandmap properly

this map was alot bigger,but has been scaled down quite abit.

@ current size it will probaly be a 3v3 or 6v6 map

this is a allied attack map and the allied obj`s are:

  1. construct cp to get a second spwn

  2. blow the warehouse door

  3. steal the radar parts,and take them to the truck

  4. steal the truck and escape with the radar parts

axis: prevent the allies for escaping with the parts

only screenie that has been tampered with is the last one… the rest are taken at brightness 1.3

the light compile on this version is kinda messed up,im still tweaking it to get it to what i want.

known bugs:

allies flag show on cpspwn even if its not constructed, you cannot spwn there unless the cp is built tough.

when you take the flag spwn from axis its shown on commandmap as allied spwn(allies cannot spwn there tough,and they are not ment to)

vo sounds not working properly

some awfull shadowse,specially on ceeling lights

some fps jumps,you should be able to get steady 76 tough

im looking for ways to improve the map so suggestions are welcome :beer:

hopefully it will be used in some ladder somewhere

A personal opinion of mine: remove your name from the map preview. (eventually the command map as well, but mostly it’s not that large and allmost unreadable anyway)
Excessive placement of your name gives me less interest to test the map.

I think the screens look quite well lighted after all, I’ll have to test the map when I can download it. (Download troubles at my ISP’s side)

the screenies are taken from the FP version,the stuff in the a1 is diffirent,i want something between the screenies u c here and the stuff thats in the map,
im still fiddeling with the lightning of the map:)

as far as the name on the map preview this is just something ive seen on alot of custom maps,and i tought it was the way thing goes.
the map preview screen will be changed in the next version, this is just something i threw toghter kinda quickly to not have the stock no picture thingy:)

Putting the map’s name on it is no problem, but when I see the author’s name on such a preview I allways associate it with a crappy fun-map. Which doesn’t seem the case here, since you thought at least about the lighting. :wink:

(Just a personal issue, I don’t know if other think the same about this)

I like it good work on the lighting, although im not a big fan of maps were all the axis do is defend, maybe you could have the axis set up truck barriers or somthing.

Other than that very nice map

the next release will have a truck barrier, to c how the map runs then.

Nice map die die, we’ve had some hectic & fun matches on it, lookin forward to the next version :smiley:
