VSYNC won't turn off?

I’m having an issue where VSync just wont go away.

I turned it off on my control pannel, I turned it off manually in the shooterengine file (usevysnc=false), and turn it off in game. However you need to restart the game in order for it to take effect and when I do vsync magically turns back on.

I feel like my computer is possessed.

Any suggestions?

DUmb question perhaps but did you set the file back to read only?

aren’t there two spots where the shooter ini cfg file can be stored in? perhaps its in another spot

I’m not sure but not to my knowledge.

Also, where are the preferences stored in? Like mouse sensitivity and crosshair settings etc. I forgot.

Even though I uninstall and reinstall the game, my settings don’t change for some reason. I still have my crosshair settings and my shooterengine file is still the custom one even though I deleted it

Can’t you force it off through nvidia/amd settings?

it is on force off.

well obviously some files stay; you need to find them when game is uninstalled.
