vsays don't work when dead and gibbed

vsays don’t work when you are dead and gibbed.

(Not sure if this is Menu Interface or HUD? :confused: Can anyone enlighten me?)

HUD I believe … vsays should work while dead too I agree. But they should also modify the limit of vsays you can say in a row (duration used for anti-spamming), because right now it’s too restrictive, i cannot ask for ammo and thank for it if it is given to me right away …

I find it very hit and miss, sometimes im able to call for a medic while down but most of the time i cant

I think it depends if you’re gibbed or just incapped.

Vsays should be available all the time if you ask me. It’s damn annoying I can’t use vchat to give some info while waiting for respawn.

Yeah all the time except of the current medic! and ammo! calls when gibbed. This part is good, but the rest should be enabled.

Why should vsay work while you’re dead? I mean I understand it if you’re incapped but giving out info while you’re dead seems to make no sense :wink:

Maybe the global ones to be like, good shot etc, but vsays to help your team? Is there no penalty to death?

the commands are questionable but taunts and stuff should be available, while you waiting to spawn to make it less boring. Especially because one cannot spectate other players while gibbed. Really miss this feature.

Not only vsays now, but also chat doesn’t work which totally pisses me off.

The chat is still bugged and noone cares to fix this since early alpha…

It’s not a top priority and it’s quite easy to fix IMO. But I agree, from a player point of view this is annoying

It is a top priority for me. Also, not being a top priority doesn’t mean the problem has to be ditched and never corrected. It is already more than half a year since it was reported.

At the moment vsays can only be used when you’re alive, not very helpful when you want to call for a medic when you’re incapped, fire off a “Great shot” or a “Hi”, etc.

Also I can understand disabling call for medic/ammo when gibbed, but everything else should still be available.

Yeah, I am personally tired of reminding about this. Seems like on the lowest priority for them…

Just wanted to add that this used to work, but when the vsay hud was revamped a while back this is when it stopped working.
