Today I had a really annoying spectator in the game. He constantly was abusive about teammates not playing well. I’d love to see a votekick for spectators implemented.

It was already in the game. I got kicked for spectatting a melee only match which is ridiculous.

Last time I tried, attempting to kick them through scoreboard does not work.
However if you press F5 and select “Vote kick player” it will give you full list of your team AND any spectators. Hit the number associated in that list with the annoying spec and kick vote initiates.
Just be aware if there is someone edgy/obvious script kiddo in either of the teams, spectator might be recording footage to get them banned.

@MrLashnibro vote kicking spectators doesn’t work, it can go to 7/5 yes votes and nothing will happen.

Next time I’ll try it with F5. In this case the left my team and was abusive in chat to some of my teammates for not being good enough.
Still, an option in the scoreboard should be added.

Yup, it would make things easier to grasp but after all, F5 is afaik presented in options (as “Call vote” or similar) AND I haven’t tried it but I’d think Calling vote from main menu also gives same kind of list. So the option isn’t exactly hidden, it’s simply not as simple as initiating kick on teammate.
Vote kicking spectators has a visual bug apparently where it gives the number of “Yes” votes needed from one team, not both. Spectator needs more votes and from both team present to be kicked. Votes do work, just the passing amount is visibly broken.
Whenever number of yes- votes is double the amount shown or something less, I don’t know.

Even if the vote passes, they still don’t get kicked. Seriously need to be fixed, it’s been in the game forever.

One of my DBN buddies often times will join on my games with other DBN people and sit in spectator because he’s doing other things at the moment, but he still wants to see our games

Kicking spec has a UI bug. You still need 51% like on any vote but this time you need it from both teams (while the UI only shows the value for one team).
