Vote to end game

The problem with hackers (as we know) is that they tend to play in competitive mode; because they can’t be kicked and the other poor victims can’t leave.

Not a profound idea, but I think that if 6 players vote yes for the game to end this might go some way towards helping the issue. It would require just 1 kind player on the hacker’s team to see sense and end the torture. Even better, vote against the hacker and, if successful, ban them for a while so there’s less chance they appear in the next game.

definitely not 6 players.

Keep it simple:
Team-specific vote, everyone has to agree - map is surrendered to the opponent.

This is absolutely needed in this game! Due to team-fight oriented nature of DB, usually the first 2 min can tell if the game will be close/winnable or impossible to win/impossible to lose. If the concern is that people will surrender too quickly out of games, well thats clearly a symptom of bad matchmaking, and not something wrong with surrender vote.

On the other hand, having to go through 15min fullhold on 1st obj (as either team) is absolutely boring and makes me not want to play matchmaking (apart from the hacker issues).

I’m more talking about an “abort game” vote rather than a “surrender”. So, it wouldn’t count as a loss but rather a cancelled game. imho this would be good in addition to a surrender vote. 6 votes is necessary, however, to stop teams that are losing fair-and-square to abort.

dont really think we need an ‘abort’ vote.

If a proper system is in place, and a game was lost due to a cheater; surely all the cheaters wins should be changed to losses, retroactively.

the bottom line is to not force cheater’s victims to stay on a server, with a pointless wait. AND to devoid the cheater from any satisfaction; since they’d spent more time looking for a game in the lobby, than actually ‘playing’.

One problem is that cheaters are more likely to advance in ranks faster, since they will win games. But that should only make it easier to bust them; if somebody makes the enemy team surrender 90-100% of the games (and surely nobody wants to stick around get destroyed by a hack), they could easily be flagged for further investigation; in whatever the report system SD & Nexon are planning to implement.

i agree on ‘abort’
some cheaters sell acounts with cobalt/elite range (or at least they state they do)
so abort will leave them without anything except lost time.
6 votes min.

and also ‘surrender’
team-only vote
4 votes min.

Not a big fan of “abort”. The only decent argument that was made for it is anti cheat but that should be taken care of by different mechanics.
Surrender vote would be nice to save time in some properly boring games.

Unfortunately it does not seem like there is any sort of fuzzy logic approach to anti cheat as described by Szakalot. It should be easy enough to filter out the obvious, troll hackers (100% hs with rhino, vasilli, etc) defining some rules that can never be broken. Isnt a fancy way of doing it but could sort some of them out.

The team with the ‘cheater’ wouldn’t vote yes. Problem with this game is, people just want to win and don’t care how.

(Glottis-3D) #8

i will always vote for ‘abort’ in a cheater team.
because there is nothing i love more in this world than pissing off a moron with cheats.

+1

Abort + surrender should be in place.
