Vote-kicking : Can't vote-kick AFKers because enemy needs to agree but they won't

(opaqueSlide) #1

Why does the enemy team have to agree to vote kicking an idler in your team? What’s the logic behind this?! It’s fuckin’ stupid coz the enemy team will never agree to kicking your AFK as they’ll lose the advantage. Really dumb implementation!

And the auto-kick for idling never works when some guy who was initially not AFK suddenly AFKs when he’s dead and refuses to respawn. I had an ally who died at start and never respawned for a whole 12 minutes in Trainyard and the auto-detect for idling never kicked him. Our team also couldn’t kick him because the enemy team would vote no; even though we had 7 YES votes in an 8v8 match; whoever thought this was a good idea was clearly not thinking straight - bring back the old vote-kick system where only YOUR team has to vote and reach majority.

I’m posting this here because this is the only section where developers actually have a good chance of seeing this - since there is no section for beta issues and suggestions.

So i was able to replicate this issue by joining a game - rushing and dying to the enemy - and never respawning for the whole match. The auto-idle detection never kicked me and of-course when my team tried to vote kick me the enemy team votes ‘NO’.

Easy ‘play an objective match’ mission doing absolutely nothing; great fuckin’ system ruining it for your team!
