Vote kick should be available for all players

Hello guys,first-time poster here.Sadly, the topic isn’t that fun.

I just had a lovely Stopwatch game, where a certain individual(whose name I won’t mention here) went 97/7 with an obvious aimbot, headshotting everyone in sight. He didn’t even try to hide it and teased everyone in the game for the duration of the match. There wasn’t much we can do,since I found out that our team couldn’t initiate a vote kick against him.We tried to tell the other team to start one,but they were more than happy to let the cheater carry their team to victory. At the end we just stopped playing and waited for the other team to end the match.

This led me to think that you should be able to initiate a vote kick against any player,no matter the team. The current situation depends entirely on the good will of the enemy team and I suspect their will to win is bigger than the one to play fair.

If you refuse to report an obvious botter then you are aiding the botting by hiding his identity. Why would you intentionally allow people to get away with botting and ruin a potentially fun experience for yourself and others?

Although I agree with you on your suggestion to allow anybody in the server to call a votekick. As it is my team tried to votekick a mic spammer who was continuously insulting fellow players, 5 votes to kick, 1 vote of no and 1 person not voting meant that the vote failed. I doubt, even if you could call a vote, that you would have been able to kick him. The required percentage of Yes votes is too damn high…

True. Yes i would also love to have the option to votekick every player. Played also against 2 cheaters yesterday, and wasn´t able to vote them out because they were in the opposing team.
But on the other hand i think i never saw anyone getting kicked in this game so far. Seems like the vote percentage is indeed little too high.

  1. should have recorded his play for evidence. and report him here on forums. so that he is banned for good.
  2. agree on topic - vote for everybody. and vote result on simple “majority+1”.

If you have a votekick open for your enemies, good players will start to get kicked from pubs because there are tons of scrubs who don’t want to play against better players.

Next time go to spec and record his play. Make sure there is plenty of time. Upload the video to YT and set it to unlisted. Then contact Nexon support and give them the YT link and relevant times. This will allow them to investigate and remove the player. This works and works typically pretty quickly.

You don’t run to the forums and try to report people. Especially if you don’t have video evidence. And even then it’s hard to determine anything because you can change your Steam name to anything. Only SD/Nexon can access the logs that show the Steam account tied to that name at that time to ban the person. And the SD devs don’t even read this forum (they read the SD Warchest forum). What I said to do above is a better method of reporting cheaters.

Not particularly true, as the team the player is own could easily vote no. Not to mention there are many games where you can vote for anybody and this rarely happens.

I think the biggest issue here is that the vote UI is too small and easy to miss. Furthermore, you can’t give a reason directly in the vote box. Make it more obvious that there is a vote going on and that you press F1 and F2 for yes and no (make them red at least) and the problem will usually go away.

Personally, in a F2P title I think it’s a good thing that you can’t vote to kick members of the enemy team. The friendly team can actively spectate the supposed cheater and have no incentive to lash out and kick someone that is legit but good. Since the latest round of key giveaways I’ve seen a huge increase in the amount of false hackusations in pub games. God only knows how bad it will get when this game releases full F2P on Steam.

I’ve been in a situation where a blatant, known aimbotter scrub, was on my team, but my team would ignore the votekicking, or just refuse to vote to kick him.
If the team who was actually suffering from his BS, could had voted to kick him, we could had gotten rid of the nob ed, and carry on playing.

thats exactly why all ppl on server should be able to vote.

and even if you are not a cheater but too good for this server and majority wants you to leave…well you better find more tough server for youself. that did happen to many of us in several games. you are just much better players than them in this case…you have to live/leave with that. =)

I still dont get it why they have 2 forums + steam forum for 1 game , wtf?
