i heard one, in the first gameplay footage from container city…
Voice Packs
Nail said it was, that’s what I was assuming under. So could I have a white guy with a (assuming it’s in there) south African accent? This will be a glorious day, seeing all the funny clothing/voice/race/body combinations that people are going to make. I can’t wait to see some of the crazier **** people are going to make…
I made this account just because of what you said, are you saying that a white guy with a South African accent is a crazy combination, or are you a white South African? I really hope its the second because thinking that someone would be so ignorant to think that there are only blacks in South Africa is rediculous.
On topic, the fact that the standard voice pack is British is amazing. Im so tired of hearing American accents everywhere. I hope that there is a New Zealand accent in there although I know this is almost certainly not going to happen.

To be honest, looking back on it, it was a dumb question to ask. I’m not even quite sure what I meant by it.
i’d like to have some south american/latino style accent. would match perfectly with the gang tattoos!
I’m all with you. Pretty much every other language seems to breed accents that are somewhat pleasant to foreign ears and come across as either charming or at least genuinely funny. But us Germans are unable to articulate in pretty much any foreign language without sounding like total twits.
That said, I’ll go with a British voice actor in BRINK. Or maybe Irish.
Did anyone else see the video on youtube with the character customization shown. I think it’s been taken down by Bethesda now. To be honest i didn’t really like any of the voices.
Damian O’Hare
Ray Shell
Alec Newman
Jimmy Akingbola
David Yip
Dhafer L’Abidine
Ryan McCloskey
Richie Campbell
Just search IMDb, Google, and Wikipedia to get a general sense of who they are.
Am I the only one that tried to open the localized language files?
Can I get a source for the confirmation of South African accents in game? Do we know what area the speaker is from? Is it say a Joburg accent? Ghetto Joburg, Zeff Joburg? CTown accent? Upper CTown or Vredehoek?
Why is a White South African funny? Do you realize Afrikaans is a Deutsch language? Did you know basically all of Joburg and Pretoria are white?
South Africa is majority-white, I believe.
Now, having heard those 8, I’m kinda sad. There’s like 4 different American accents, 2 asian or asian-esque, a South-African, and a British.
Incidentally, is it just me or does the Resistance squad commander (not Chen) sound a lot like Peter Stormare?
Well, considering it was a half-remembered factoid based on the 1960s, umm… oops. ;D
Sheltered world. I was mistaken about one thing, in a country where the whites shouldn’t technically BE except for imperialism, and I get mocked while mr “wouldn’t a white guy with a South African accent be heelarious” just gets an off-hand comment?
I have to say that I agree with you on this one. In my mind’s ear, I imagined that there would’ve been an Israeli accent, a Haitian accent, and basically one of every accent that is predominant around the southern Pacific Ocean: Japanese, New Zealander, Polynesian, Chilean, Mexican… Maybe they can add accents in via DLC?
Or, more likely, in BrIInk.

Why am I the only one who can’t hear that any of those are asian accents? :l
