Voice Glitch

(ccallen2) #1

I think the only problem I’ve been having with the game is that the characters I’ve made all start out with the voices that I’ve chosen for them, with the exception of character 1 who is always Yip, regardless of the voice I choose. For some reason that voice spreads like a virus in my game. I’m kind of hoping that the administrators might have a add-on or something to remedy this issue. Sadly though it’ll be a while till I can download it. I got my copy of Brink for the PS3. I think the issue started when I deleted some characters. By switching back and forth between charcters a lot the game also gets confused and changes all the voices to Yip. Besides that I love the game. I think it is a gem in the world of FPS games and can not wait for the the PSN network to start back up. Also I wouldn’t mind a Brink sequal.

This glitch seems to occur on all platforms, as I have the same problem. Sometimes I manage to fix it by creating a new character with a different voice, different from Yip or the one I mean to recover, and select that character, go back to char select, then delete that new character. It has fixed my voice for my main for now. So it seems to be something that only sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t.

Also, another bug is with a character that I chose the O’hare voice for (Scottish sounding, I think.), and now he has the Alec Newman voice. It does seem to be tied into the most recent created/deleted character, but doesn’t seem to be based on the exact voice, as choosing one voice for the new seems to end up with a different one for your older characters. I really do hope they fix this. Even possibly change it so you can change your archetype/voice, and possibly tattoo/scars, as it seems anything permanently ‘locked’ has the likelihood of not working properly.
