Voice Commands Need a Small Reworking

Does anyone else think that the voice commands in Dirty Bomb are awkward to use? This might just be because I’m a tf2 player who’s used to the incredibly simple call outs you can make in game, but I feel like the call out menu in Dirty Bomb is too complex. My main problem is that when you press the key to make a call out, you then have to press another key to select a “team” call out. I think the main reason that you never see any call outs is because the menu is too complex for most players to bother with, but in a game with such a heavy emphasis in team work, the complexity of the call out menu is an unnecessary hindrance. Perhaps a small hindrance, but one that could be easily dealt with.

Anyone else have thoughts on the call outs?

Yea the menu is a bit clunky. I only use a few callouts because I can memorisze their position so I know exactly what buttons to press. Other than that I don’t really use it.
I like the idea of TF2s style with different buttons. However, I also like DBs because I don’t ever have to click on “9”. It’s simply too far away from the keyboard. In DB I can make almost any call without moving my hand, which I like.

In TF2 you also hear your merc in-game when you use it. That would be a nice addition to the game.

Most of the voice call outs are identical to Enemy Territory Wolfenstein, so my muscle memory kicked in instantly.

Yes for old ET veterans this system is what we were used to.
