vis light faster

ok my map have no light effects but im useing a fire sfx to provide the light effect but when i did an advance pk3 test for some off the effects the map loads as a metta not a vislight so all my fire effect lights are no good as its very bright daylight effect on loadup.

i tryed putting the vis save light effect folder (from GTK) into the maps folder as i read in another tutorial it named same as my map

Correct me if I’m wrong: But You did a meta+vis+light compile, but after checking the map ingame the light stage is missing? So the compiler only did a meta+vis compile?

yep if i run as a devmap it works fine but if i pk3 the map and run it that way it works as a meta vis

ok, If the map runs fine in devmap it means that the compiler did it’s job and compiled the -light stage and therefor created ligtmap files ( tga format)

Check your pk3 to see if it includes those lightmaps:
They should be in:
maps/yourmapname/lm_0000.tga
maps/yourmapname/lm_0001.tga
maps/yourmapname/lm_0002.tga
and so on…

yep i got

lm_0000 to lm_0013

there in my pk3 folder under

maps <mapname>
