Virtual Audio Cable

(N8o) #1

So today I decided to get a Virtual Audio Cable so I can record gameplay without teamspeak being in the background while using Shadowplay.

So like the bright guy I am, I decide to download the program without realizing it was a trial version. It was not long until I started hearing a “trial” noise being played on repeat, telling me to upgrade to the full version. So I decided to uninstall the program and go through… ahem… “less leagal” ways of getting my hands on the program.
So I uninstall and restart.
But.

The bitch was still saying “trial”.

TL;DR
I have been sitting and listening to a program saying “trial” for the past two hours. This is what true suffering is like. Don’t do it guys.
Don’t do it.

Wtf… Record gameplay via teamspeak?! Get fraps… Who the hell records shit on a vop service? That’s like chopping meat on a pillow.

I use OBS and I’m pretty sure it doesn’t record any other program audio, it doesn’t even record in the display of Steam shortcut when you press shift+tab.

I am recording with Shadowplay since the FPS hit is very low, but there is no way to separate the audio channels without a VAC.

Interesting. OBS is too much of a performance hit for me, however.
