Thanks silent_sniper. I would be interested in vehicles or map objects, but I think we are pretty much set on the weapon models.

Nice screens. That tunnel looks a bit cramped tho. Unless you specifically want to create an area of restricted movement, you should be able to have at least 2 players move side by side without bumping into each other too much, and be able to jump without hitting your head on the ceiling.

You are confusing real life with a video game.

As I said, if there is a gameplay reason to make them small, then go for it (the ducts in RTCW mp_beach is a fine example of this). Otherwise, make them so they play smoothly, and realism be damned.

It is also worth remembering that an ET player bounding box is a lot less flexible than a real human.

Okay, are you sure you want to use that mat 49?

Have you checked the poly count? Just by looking at it I see a shit load of redundant polies.

Also, I’ve noticed with ET (and most other q3based games) that the weapons look stretched in the depth. The kinda have a funny long look. Sof2 fixed this by having a ‘foreshorten’ value. The depth axis was scaled with this value. It looks much better then, problem is you’ll have to scale each frame in your model editor. Doing that would probably require a new animtion system. Imo the foreshorten effect looks better than vanilla weapons, or orthografic viewing (Battlefield style.)

Oh yeah Torchy (you know me as Stan :o), this mod does look nice.

No question about it.

I actually prefer to use a some what high res model during the skinning process. Poly count (LOD) can be reduced for in game view models with little effort.

Notice how the grip on the tok has pretty shapr highlights, but the body doesn’t? This looks a bit strange, I’d suggest highlighting the edges a bit more. It’ll make it look much nicer.

Are you sure you don’t want to optimize the mat 49? Atleast chop some off and put them in the hand model so you get better deformations for anims. (if you are going to have animated hands)

Aks47 clip skin doesn’t follow the shape of the clip. Add some highlights, it will make it look much better!
