This video is actually incorrect and the augments do work. Its a seperate bug that the video creator was suffering from so please ignore this.

Actually the bug is if you use a card that does not have augments it actually uses the last augments that you used.
So by testing the augments and then using the default cards, he is actually using the 3 previous augments he had.
So it looks like its not working when really its always using the augments.
