For those interested : I’ve created a small document containing most of the entities used in the map. This might be helpfull for serveradministrators that want to run a different script version of the map.You can find it here: ves_entities
On a personal note: Like many other mappers before me, the time has come to say goodbye to ET mapping and say hello to the next-gen games that are going to be released within the next few months ( ET:QW / Crysis)…
i think its simply the bestly detailed map. so accurate. so true. men rly feels that he is in italy while running in that map… very nice work. (btw the gameplay was not so impressive, at least for me, i still think its one of the best custom maps out there apart from gameplay.)
Cant get this map to work. Vesuvius.pk3 is in my etmain folder, uploaded to my forum FTP and server, yet never loads.
-Doesn’t appear in my maps list through referee
-Loaded ET as a localhost server and doesnt appear in maps list either.
-Created a campaign with it as first map, restarted gameserver, switched campaigns, and it went directly to 2nd map in the campaign. BSP filename match checks out OK too.
