Yes,your CPU is min requirement but the game should run on a C2D.

Great reading comprehension…You act like I said my G15 keyboard should result in better fps.

The point of my post was that it doesn’t matter that my CPU is “bare minimum” - its a rather bleh looking FPS and a 5870 should be pulling greater than 10-20fps on min settings.

as soon as i start a match, my fps drop to 4… unplayable. i had that occassionally before, but now it seems to be all the time. even in the singleplayer challenges.

i found putting the settings all high apart from AO in the brink utility made the game actually play smoother. very odd. i still get fps drops in certain places like respawn wave. come on ATI. sort it out!?!?

Is it me or since the latest patch(s) the game has lost the smoothness to it? It seems much less responsive and the movement in general doesn’t seem smooth ether. Even when I play on a server were I have 20 ping I still have these issues. My FPS has never been an issue, I have a consistent 75+. I have an ATI gcard but, I downloaded the requirement Brink had released with ATI. I downloaded and installed the driver but, I saw no difference.

Is this just me or has anyone else been experiencing these random and ironic issues?

i still got a “stable” framerate from 25 - 120 fps. it’s fun to enter certain areas, it lags, and suddenly you’re dead. FUN

i have found turning the CCC settings up seem to make performance better. i noe get a min of 25 and max in the 120 area. at least its playable now. and looks much better. hopefully this new ATI patch will fix everything. thats if ATI pull their thumbs out their asses. from their twitter feed all they are doing is witcher2!

I think its almost time to stop caring about this game. 11.6 is almost here and if it doesnt help then i’m officialy out from any SD game from now on.

If even they dont care about their game, why should i? Let it flop.

IMHO, we all are CPU limited and we all have a crappy GPU …

So the game is not the problem, we need to buy a new 2000 dollars computer if we want to play this amazing graphics game …

try setting view distance down to 0.8 in the brink config utility. that really helps until ATI pull their thumbs out of their asses.

Interesting here is my experience…

I have a good enough pc and a 5770ati card.
At the beginning when this game came out I was average 21 fps…(horrible).
I played it in frustration to justify my 37 dollars lol and to give it a chance.

After one or two patches my fps rose to 40. I then took r_shadows off (or whatever the command is I forget). fps rose another 5-10 fps. I was quite happy.

Finally after the latest patch Im lucky to get 30 fps on average. Damn weird.
