My screen is so dark the only way I can find where to go is by following others. I can’t see anything except players and very dark openings in walls ect. I’ve seen screenshots and only wish I could see what I’m supposed to see. I’ve messed with shadows, gamma and every video option there is. Including my options in my nvidia control panel. I also uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck. I’m using 2 gtx480’s with the latest certified drivers and windows 7 32 bit. Any ideas?

For me since a couple of updates ago the second half of resort is now very dark also
Holy cow same here! I thought it was just me. Its a shame because Resort is one of my favourites .

Holy cow same here! I thought it was just me. Its a shame because Resort is one of my favourites .
I only noticed it after the small pre-DLC update
Funny thing for me was it’s been like this from day one, so I uninstalled it and when I saw the new dlc I reinstalled and hoping it was fixed but it was no different. What’s really funny is I thought that’s how they made it {that dark} until I saw some screenshots,then it’s a whole different game if I could have that!

not sure what happened. im guessing someone messed up the indoor lighting (as its fine outside). i use high quality shadows too so its not the low quality shadows issue that can make lighting a bit flakey

It’d be worth knowing what r_shadows and r_gamma are set to, certainly. What Smooth has asked for will provide that info but it may be worth experimenting to see if those settings can provide a solution.

At work I have r_shadows 0 and at home I have r_shadows 1
Tried swapping both around and nothing changed

im at work now, but it happend after the patch a couple of weeks ago (before DLC - think it was about 20 megs)
rest of the game is fine but it seems the indoor bits on 2nd part of resort have had their lighting cut off. notably the 2 cp areas. many pc people seeing it.

We’ve managed to reproduce and are investigating the very-dark Resort issue. Thanks for your help.
Any news on a fix yet? My dark issue is on every map in single player. The one time I played multiplayer it was also as dark, so I didn’t bother with multiplayer after that.
It was an issue with a lighting change made for the DLC levels. We should have a fix included in the next update.
All my levels were dark before and after the dlc, so how do we explain that?
