Aim bots cant target turrets so Bushwhacker is the best Merc to use against someone using hacks.

Choosing Bushwhackers is completely unrelated to any anti-hacker efforts. I think it was more related to Phantom can counter bushwhacker because the turret can’t spot him. I think they are just trying to make the point that Phantom is still viable post nerfs(which I agree with).

Or it’s because they said an engineer will always be in the rotation and proxy and fletcher were the last engis so it’s his turn. I think people are overthinking this…

Well all the above is true but there has been an increase in hackers and bushwhacker is the best to combat them. It probably is just his turn but i am thankful none the less.

To be honest, I love this idea, not only can I binge try out mercs, but also it improves merc variety, and is almost like how the game is “meant to be played”, with more than just a Skyhammer Squad.

I don’t really care about some aimbots for money in this game they aren’t so many. The fresh-released chams is where my worries at…There will be a giant cheaterwave out there in some days.

More like,you are trying your best to farm those mercs and leave the game for some time,so we give you all the mercs to make more players for our weak servers :innocent:

I am not kidding, there being so many hackers may have not been a determining factor in the merc rotation but It still helps to combat them.

I find more in Competitive but saw several yesterday in Public.

You act like there are not any but that is very untrue. Anyone who plays a lot will know there is a hacker problem. Miss Murder even knows and brought it up in the twitch stream yesterday.

In over 300 hours of play I have personally encountered, exactly, 9 people cheating. This is definitely more of a competitive ranked problem due to people being able to more easily troll but it’s incredibly rare in pub play. So if you are seeing “several” in pub play there is a chance who you think is cheating might not actually be cheating.

If you believe somebody is cheating report them. Soon the game will have in-game reporting and also some other tools making it easier for everyone.

I am closing this thread since I can only see it going downhill from now. /janitormode
