Vertex

(MindConfusion) #1

Just little curious, is there anyway you can select multiple points while in vertex?

Multiple verteces?

No, I don’t believe so. Perhaps using the edge or x-clipper would do the job?

While in vertex mode for a brush or a patch? I’m not sure about brushes, but I know that with patches you can hold down control and click to select multiple vertexes (vertices?).

yeah its for a brush, I’m just sick of moving one at a time lol

Afraid that theres no way around long tri-souping times. Though I have found that selecting multiple brushes can help reduce the time it takes to do the work. Though that really depends on the situation.

For terrain, this is what I do: I Ctrl + left-click and drag the mouse around until I have selected a couple of terrain-brushes. Then I hit “v”. Lots of green vertrices are now highlighted.
Then I can “catch” all the green vertrices that are at the same spot. = I just left-click on the spot where a bunch of green vertrices are. And move them up/down, all at the same time (to change the terrain).
But you knew this.
You question was about selecting one vertex here and another one over there. I don’t know how to do that (select two vertrices at two different locations), sorry.

EDIT: changed “right-click” (error) to “left-click” (correct).

Dunno really what u want to acomplish, but u can always use the “Edge” tool, select the brush and hit “E”. Then u dont have to select both vertex points to drag a side of a brush!
