After you shoot with the MoA or FEL-IX there is a short reload animation before you can fire again. If you interrupt this animation, by say, switching to your secondary weapon, you have to start the animation all over again when you switch back to your primary, making you unable to shoot until the animation is over. This mechanic really stops the flow when playing Vassili. After all, you can cancel the reload animation to make faster reloads, why not cancel out this animation?
I don’t know how many times I’ve missed my shot (hit the body), switched to my pistol to finish of, then switched back to the sniper, scoped in, lined up a head in my crosshair, and then not been able to shoot just because the reload sequence is still working in the background.
I think they should make the reload between each bullet a timer instead of an actual mechanic. It would fit better in with the fast paced action, and that’s how CS and pretty much every other good fps do it.
What do you guys think? do also get screwed when playing Vassili aggressively?
Vassili quick switch
It’s part of playing the class. It used to trip me up but now I have zero issues with it and just consider it part of using those rifles. I tend to shoot then switch to the knife to run/move but then I just need to make sure I pull out the rifle again to finish the animation…and you don’t even need to fully finish it but you have to get through most of it.
It’s kine of like quick switching in CS to cut off the reload and get back to firing faster. You can do this in DB too.

Well not really like CS:GO, because it cuts out the whole animation. As just stated, Dirty Bomb doesn’t do this. What he seems to want is like a passive reload, like the Flare gun from TF2. You can shoot, put the gun away, swap back, and the only thing that stops you from shooting is a timer, not an animation.
I don’t think this would be a good idea really… It’s a good when you have a choice between a) shooting and keeping your MoA out so that you can rechamber as fast as possible or b) change to your knife so that you can get immediately get to safety. I personally think it looks and feels stupid when you’re playing CS:GO and your character never actually rechambers the weapon you are holding.
