Vasseli Scope Twitch On Hit...

(PixelTwitch) #1

Due to the client side nature of Dirty Bomb.
You have no guarantee that you have caused his scope to twitch.

This also means that popping out from around a corner and getting the first couple of taps onto a Vasseli does not effect his aim. In a perfect world pre firing around a corner would result in the ability to safely push a sniper knowing that his aim is all over the place.

What I suggest is that for snipers (to enforce consistency) the twitch would be a FOV twitch or a much smaller twitch and not the current huge movement twitch. Also a little blur effect on the scopes lines or keeping the lines sharp and blurring the view.
I would do this for all scoped weapons.

Really, I do not care what you guys do…
I just want to be able to feel confident in the snipers ability to kill/not kill.

I never even noticed that it twitched lol

Bear in mind that Vasilli will receive your movement data at the same time as the shot data. Basically if he can see you move out, then he’s also going to receive your shots and thus get view-kick. Yes it gets a little complex with reliable and unreliable packets when there’s a lot of packet loss but the SRS-Kap says the situation you’re describing would never feasibly happen.

Improving how this feels to the scoped-user with better blurring, FoV changes and what-have-you is a nice to have but not a high priority right now.

If my game is running smooth with high stable FPS Val works perfect.
