How is it that I can pick up health from an enemy team’s med pack, ammo from the packs and the pylon, but Aura’s heal pylon is the exception? Where’s the logic in that?

I think it’s kind of obvious that you can pick up ‘boxes’ that are just laying on the floor.
The pylons are a different story although I think that an enemy ammo pylon giving ammo is not that bad on the other had enemy heal pylons that heal you seem to be real bad, cause chances that an enemy ammo pylon will save your life are a lot lower (almost none unless you were out of ammo and even then) than an enemy heal pylon which would significantly raise your survival chances.
Because then all the Aura shotgun rushers wouldn’t be able to run in and drop their healing stations to fight 4 people at once.
It’s obviously programmed to scan the user’s DNA before healing. Presumably the different mercs are just very similar, and not, in fact, genetic clones.

Anyway. It’d be fun if it was possible to hack them, but it’d probably end up being either a) extremely annoying or b) entirely useless. I mean, how often do you come across an intact enemy healing station, and how often does it remain in play for longer than it takes Aura to respawn?

Just let Sparks short it out with her ability then. Pop it with Sparks and until it’s reset by the Aura it heals everyone.
One my say that its a variation of military IFF system.
But then again, in this case it would be logical that Kiras ammo station would have one 2… but it doesnt.
Most obvious explanation is if it would heal every1, healing stations would become usless(or worse), since heavier mercs would just shred Auras to pieces due to larger health pool and superior weaponry.

They have 25s respawn, proceed to sit on health station that enemies are unable to kill for 25s
Quite a while back in a nexon build, healing station made no difference between enemies and allies, and it was just plain retarded. If you wanted to watch 4 guys barnacle fighting from afar, this was your ability of choice. Thus making it totally useless because it was too easy to benefit from it as an enemy.
It would be hilarious to plop down a healing station and sprinkle some mines around it, though.
Balancing simple as that. The Healingstation is supposed to give Aura a fighting chance and her Team positional superiority. If the station healed everybody Aura would loose her only advantage against other mercs, simply by them hopping into her station.
Exactly. You can’t be healed by the enemy Aura station because then you’d be able to go stand in it and fight her and for balance reasons that’s a bad idea.
