Useless Cobalts? Here is my idea

(Fap Fap Master) #1

Cobalt card + Bronze card + (Insert amount of credits) = Cobalt card with bronzes weapons/augments.

Thoughts?

(Ardez1) #2

That would directly evade the RNG business model in place… Would never happen. At all… I could see them just doing an RNG re-roll for a cost or downgrading(which was viewed positively by the devs in the stream), but not picking your loadout beyond bonze.

(avidCow) #3

The whole model sucks and is so transparently designed to suck money from people who just want that one loudout card with a different skin. That’s the problem.

(Fap Fap Master) #4

I understand, I wouldn’t mind an ability to reroll.

(frzn) #5

I really hope they specifically add rerolling because other systems wouldn’t let you keep unique skins (eg from the alienware giveaway) if you get a bad loadout on them. But what I really wish is that we unlocked items instead of loadouts and could choose what to equip.

(Viquel) #6

If the elite cases were 1/5th of the current price, I’d even join the gamble. For 3.5 to 5 USD=EUR (!), not gonna happen. Since the phantom update screwed the server browser, I’m having to fun at all anyways…

(Eddie) #7

Cobalt cards already have the same weapons and augments as Bronzes?

(ghostBase) #8

Yeah, people have pay more money for shinier gear that does not affect the gameplay in a game whose acquisition is free, what a fucking ripoff!

Shut it. Dirty Bomb has quite some flaws in its current state but the card-tier-system is fine as it is.

(cornJester) #9

He was asking to be able to choose the specific loadout he wanted by using a specific bronze card and transferring that to his cobalt.

(Twisp) #10

At the moment, the Silver -> Cobalt tiers are just a time/ingame currency sink to give people something to do once they’ve gotten the mercs they want and their preferred Bronze cards. While having some more options for manipulating cards (such as selling them for credits) would be appreciated, I don’t think we’ll get something that so easily bypasses the system they have in place already.

Ahh, Alright. Well in that case that would be a huge no-go i think simply because it’s too easy to get that perfect loadout then.

(Jostabeere) #12

You should be happy we have that model and not Nexons usual: “pay money for best items in games to destroy f2p scrubs”.

(Keldrath) #13

Somehow I would be okay with that.

(Ardez1) #14

I’m sure. But, it isn’t something that would be allowed without changing the entire business model. Doubt that will happen anytime soon.

haha, you shut it. you could spend big $$$ and still not get that one cosmetic item you actually want. the scheme blows and that’s obvious. people just treat it like a necessary evil because “profits”.

if you’re dropping money on a pointless vanity item, that’s your problem
