Apple is not idiot proof because they always make a better village idiot. I have seen people that still have issues even using apple computers, let alone windows.

People who want to play games and do some scripting/coding --> Windows
People who are writers/painters/musicians etc --> Apple/Mac OS
People who want to compile their own stuff --> Linux

It always amazes me that people who have a Mac or Linux find they have the superior Operating System, but always complain that the stuff don’t work or isn’t available for them
